5 TELLTALE SIGNS OF ALLERGIES IN KIDS
You may already know that a runny nose, and itchy, watery eyes can be signs that your child has allergies. But there are other less common signs that you should know about.
Remember, Children's FLONASE® is only indicated to treat allergies in children, not asthma.
Is your child rubbing their nose constantly? It could be because their nose is itchy and congested. Constant rubbing can lead to nosebleeds. Some kids even rub their noses during their sleep and don’t even know it! 1
The Allergic Salute
Kids who wipe or rub their noses to relieve itchiness and congestion are said to be doing the allergic salute. In some cases, a crease may form across the bridge of the nose from rubbing too much.
Under eye lines are actually creases caused by allergies.2
Mouthbreathing, especially at night, results from chronic nasal congestion and can give your child dry, red lips.1
Your child may have trouble staying awake during the day because allergy symptoms, such as nighttime nasal congestion, are keeping them up at night.1
