TIPS FOR FALL ALLERGY RELIEF

Now is the perfect time to do that yard work you’ve been avoiding: summer is officially over and there’s just a small window of time before winter rolls in. But before you rush out the door, here are three tips that all fall allergy sufferers should keep in mind.

WAIT FOR IT…

Midday and afternoon might be the warmest part of the day but it’s also when pollen counts are highest. So either tackle yard work first thing in the morning or wait until the evening.1

FORGET FALL FASHION

The sun might not be as intense as it was during summer but you should still wear a hat and large sunglasses to keep pollen and mold from sticking to your hair and irritating your eyes.1 Don’t worry, the trees won’t judge you.

RAKE LEAVES ASAP

Mold and pollen can settle onto fallen leaves so be sure to rake often. Raking might stir allergens into the air so have a pollen mask handy. If your allergy symptoms are really acting up, recruit a family member or friend to help and enjoy time outside together.1
