  Note for School

When your child has indoor or outdoor nasal allergies, or year-round nonallergic nasal symptoms, you suffer too. There’s great news for parents and the millions of children in the United States who suffer from nasal allergy symptoms.

FLONASE is approved to treat more than just the nasal symptoms of outdoor and indoor allergies caused by things like pollen, dust and pet dander. It also treats year-round, nonallergic nasal symptoms caused by things in the environment that aren't allergens but sure feel like them.

Why FLONASE Could Be Right for Your Child

For best results, use FLONASE daily. Your nasal symptoms may begin to improve in as few as 12 hours. Maximum relief may take several days. Results may vary. If side effects occur, they are generally mild and may include headache, nosebleed, or sore throat. FLONASE is available by prescription only; ask your healthcare professional if FLONASE is right for you.
  • Approved for Children. FLONASE is a prescription nasal spray approved for use by children as young as 4 years old.

  • Convenient. Thanks to once-a-day dosing, parents can supervise the use of FLONASE in the morning without having to worry about children taking medication at school or when they are in the care of others. FLONASE should be taken as directed by your child's doctor. For children ages 4 years and older, the recommended starting dosage is one spray in each nostril, once a day. Children not adequately responding to one spray in each nostril may increase their dosage to two sprays in each nostril. Once nasal symptoms are adequately controlled, the dosage should be reduced to one spray in each nostril, once per day. The maximum total daily dosage should not exceed two sprays in each nostril.

  • Proven safety profile. If side effects occur, they are generally mild and may include headache, nosebleed, or sore throat.

FLONASE provides 24-hour, multi-symptom treatment of nasal allergy symptoms. This means if your child has nasal allergy symptoms, he or she can go through the day, either outdoors or indoors, without constantly blowing his or her stuffy, runny nose. Results may vary.
