CAN ALLERGIES CAUSE A FEVER IN CHILDREN?
Because seasonal allergies are also referred to as “hay fever”1, people often assume that a fever is an allergy symptom. But that’s not the case. In fact, if your child is running a fever, it is not their allergies. Here’s a simple way to help you remember the difference:

Consult with your child's pediatrician to determine what caused the fever and how you should move forward with treating their symptoms. If you think your child has allergies, make an appointment to see an allergist. Create a diary to keep track of your child’s symptoms and what you think might have caused them. This will make your appointment more productive.
